아들의 고교 졸업

2005년 겨울 아들은 중1을 마치고 미국에 갔다. 일단 같이 갔다. 일단 미국 이름을 짓기로 했다. 난 타지로 가서 멋진 삶을 살았던 두 인물을 성경에서 골랐다. 요셉과 다니엘 중에서 뭘로 할래? 아들은 에릭으로 하겠다 했다. 미국 시간으로 2013년5월24일 에릭이 bishop seabury academy를 졸업했다. 교사상(the Faculty Award)을 받았다.나는 오늘 총리대신 아들 요셉을 둔 야곱처럼 자랑스럽다.

아들이 페이스북에 이런 글을 남겼다. I've always planned to use this quote from ((cars)) when I first get a trophy: "it's just an empty cup." But now I actually got one, I refuse to say it. This empty cup means the world to me. Thanks to everyone who was happy for me that I received this gold. -Eric Shin .
